Mermaids were popular illustrations on vintage cruise ship menus and this is a particularly lovely example. It shows one of these mythic aquatic creatures riding on an albatross while a crowd of mermaid babies help raise them up. In the background are two galleons.
The Monarch of Bermuda was one of the “millionaire” ships which held only first class passengers. There was room for just over 800 passengers on the Monarch of Bermuda, and it was luxury all the way.
