Cliff House, San Francisco, California, 1970s

£20.00

This fabulous menu art from the 1970s comes from the famous Cliff House restaurant in San Francisco.

The Cliff House has had five major incarnations since its original construction in 1850. Constructed on cliffs on the westernmost edge of the city, Cliff House has absolutely jaw-dropping views.

Locals and tourists have come here for decades to eat and drink, and to try to spot sea lions on the rocks out in the ocean. The property, which has endured earthquakes, fires and serious storms, was the crown jewel of the Golden Gate National Recreational area and celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2013.

Sadly, the Cliff House closed down on December 31 2020.
