Union Pacific Railroad Children's Menu 1940s

£20.00

These cute little bears were on the cover of this 1940s children's menu from the Union Pacific Railroad. Among the items on offer to little boys and girls were pureed prunes, poached or coddled eggs and pablum, a cereal reinforced with vitamin D that helped prevent the crippling childhood condition called rickets. This menu almost certainly came from the Yellowstone Special which Union Pacific ran as a summer only service between Pocatello, Idaho and West Yellowstone in Montana. The train ceased to operate in 1965.
