A high-spirited penguin dances on the sand on Sunset Beach, on the Gulf of Mexico, in this cute 1950s menu. The Penguin was a popular bar and restaurant at the south end of Florida's Treasure Island. According to this review in the Evening Independent, it was a lovely spot that was managed by the Girard family. "The waves break softly against the pilings of The Penguin, lulling and comforting each diner. The tall chefs in the taller white chef's hats still push the prime rib carts up to each table and carve a thick slice of prime rib to your liking," said the writer. This wine and cocktail list was compiled by Frank Schoonmaker, an American wine merchant and restaurant consultant, considered one of the most influential wine experts in the US for many decades until his death in 1976.
